Editing a connected site
Open the editor from the site card in the dashboard. Your live site loads with an editing overlay. Click a thing, change the thing, press Save. An element with unsaved changes gets an orange frame. Saved changes are live immediately — no rebuild, no publish queue.
Regular editing is unlimited and costs no money and no AI tokens.
Text
Click any heading, paragraph or button label and type. Inline formatting is available: bold, italic, headings, links, colours, alignment, inserting images.
Images
Click an image to open the Replace image dialog. You can upload a file, paste an image URL, pick a free stock photo, or generate one with AI. Uploads are converted to optimized WebP automatically.
Every image has a size slider — small images such as logos resize by height, large photos by width as a percentage of their container. Changes apply live.
Photos never change by themselves: uploaded, AI-generated and stock photos are all copied into Qixoo's own storage and stay exactly as chosen until you replace them.
An AI-drawn SVG logo is clickable like any other image and can be swapped for your own file.
Photo galleries
Gallery grids are detected automatically on any site. Hovering a tile shows per-tile controls: add, replace, delete.
Sliders
Sliders are detected whether they were built with a popular library or hand-coded. A small "Slider" badge appears on the block. Clicking a slide gives per-slide controls: replace image, add a slide after, delete slide.
Links and buttons
Click a link or a button to open a dialog with its text, its destination and, for buttons, its colours. Clicking a link in the editor edits it rather than following it. To move to the page a link points at, use ↗ Open & edit this page in the same dialog.
Menus and navigation
Navigation menus are detected on any site, with per-item controls for renaming and reordering.
Whole sections
+ Add opens the block library — see Blocks.
AI assistant
Optional, and the only thing that spends tokens. On text: rewrite, improve, fix grammar, change tone, translate. On blocks: AI-customize a block, or describe a section and have it built. Tokens are charged only when you apply a result — a suggestion you discard costs nothing. See AI tokens.
Undo and limits
Undo and Redo are in the toolbar. The editor also shows how many saved edits the site uses against your plan's block limit; at 100% a message explains the limit with an upgrade link.
If a plan lapses, the site becomes read-only: visitors still see every past edit, but new edits need an active plan again.
What edits do to SEO
Your host keeps serving the HTML you wrote, so a crawler always receives a complete page. Edited content is re-applied in the browser, which means an edit can be picked up by crawlers later than a change to the source file would be. For copy that changes occasionally this is a non-issue. If a page's whole content must be indexed the day it changes, edit the source HTML as well.
