# AI tokens

Tokens pay for optional AI actions only. Normal editing — text, images, links,
blocks, sliders, menus — is unlimited and spends no tokens and no money.

## Charged only on apply

If you generate a suggestion and do not apply it, or the AI result changes nothing,
it costs 0 tokens. Previews you discard are free.

## Two buckets

Your balance is the sum of two buckets, shown separately on the Billing card.

- **Monthly tokens** — your plan's allowance. Granted when a paid plan starts and
  refreshed every billing month (annual plans get the allowance every 30 days).
  Leftovers do **not** roll over: the bucket resets to the full allowance rather than
  stacking. They disappear if the plan lapses or drops to Free.
- **Purchased tokens** — packs, promo bonuses and gifts. They **never expire** and
  survive any plan change or downgrade.

AI actions spend the monthly bucket first, then the purchased one, so buying a large
pack never wastes your subscription's allowance.

Free has no monthly allowance and no free trial. Buying a pack is the only way to use
AI features on Free.

## Buying more storage with tokens

If a site hits its storage limit, Dashboard → Billing → the Storage card → **+500 MB**
spends 10 tokens for a permanent extra 500 MB. It never expires and stacks with
further purchases. This spends tokens you already have; there is no separate payment.

## "AI says quota or limit reached"

That is a temporary daily limit at the AI provider, not your account. Try again later
— no tokens were spent.
